AUDITION INFORMATION FOR FALL 2009

Auditions for the 2009-2010 Jazzschool Studio Band will take place on August 22nd and 23rd, 2009 between 10am-7pm at the Jazzschool in Berkeley. To schedule an audition, please download an application form below. The form is a WORD document and should be filled out and saved on your computer (please see instructions on application form).

Once the form is completed please email it as an attachment to Keith Johnson, Director of the Jazzschool Young Musicians Program at keith@jazzschool.com. Once your application is received, you will be contacted within 1-2 weeks with an audition time. In the body of your email please include a brief description of your musical background.

After setting up an audition with the director, please check the website to download the required materials for your audition. All auditions will consist of performance of required materials, sight-reading, improvisation, and a short piece of your choosing. Please do not audition if you do not plan on being 100% committed to the ensembles. Band members will be notified of their acceptance by email one week following auditions.
